The spotlight now falls on Grimlock, everyone's favorite Dinobot!
Does feel worth pointing out that my favourite Dinobot is Snarl.

Snarl is also my favourite.

Spotlight Mirage sounds pretty interesting though! Hope he resembles his classics design which I *love*.

Bit concerned at yet another Decepticon piece not written by Furman.

Also no Decepticon spotlights as yet.

So Transformers: Focus on Decepticons is not only a bad title, but it's ALSO a lead in to the next 6 issue arc named _________, and this arc, THIS arc is where things REALLY hit the fan?

Also, I'm a bit freaked by the "Movie Sequel" part there at the end. I understand its inevitable, but give me time to breathe before I have to deal with that bidness.

So, Ryall and co. learned the lesson from Megs Origin, and decided to give the next large IDW project to... someone nobody knows?

Bright idea. Unless (which I hope) it's something like Hearts of Steel and not messing with normal IDW G1 continuity, I'm really dreading this.

I was wondering when they'll continue the movie storyline. This just shows how little the Movie shook up the TF comics industry - with TMNT or Spiderman, there were tons of new comics following the new storyline. Can't say I'm sorry, though.

Love that Scorpy will rear his Head(master) again in Grimbo spotlight. Since the dinos promptly stole some of the 'spotlight' from Shockwave, it's their time to get it stolen by a Con...

Mirage sounds interesting, but I smell a fanwank here. It has all the typical trademarks - paralell universe with reversed roles (wonder if 'Evil Prime' will have a goatee?) and builds up Mirage's character from the one single episode cartoon fans like to brag so much abou (even when there Mirage became a 'traitor' because he was infected by Bombshell, not by choice... making all the fuss totally pointless.)

My fav. Dinobot is Swoop, just for the record. Hope he gets a spotlight in the future... And glad he's already in TF ANimated.

Except that Mirage's profile, plus early comic and cartoon appearances portray him as someone who initially joined the Autobot ranks not out of any innate sense of justice, but due to the necessity of taking sides.

I understand, it's just that I feel Mirage is pretty much in the same alley here as G1 Thundercracker. They both have very interesting personalities, that have only been lightly touched, and many TF fans elaborated these minor tendencies so much and so often, that to see them handled the same way in an official media it'd simply make me cringe...

I'd prefer if Furman would re-imagine Mirage the same way he did for Magnus, or others, keeping some elements and introducing new ones. Like, if we want to stick with 'traitor', we could have Mirage working undercover as a Decepticon, and feeling torn between the two sides... Just my two cents.

(Off-topic, but I planned to give the same treatment to Thundercracker in my Bayformer Movie-rewrite script - making him into the 'little guy' who gets to fight alongside Megatron's elite guard by accident (being on the Nemesis as a simple grunt and surviving) and finding that his idols are not really as he thought they'd be, leading to him questioning the whole Con commitment thing. I didn't want to have him defect, but he does leave the Cons at the end of the movie to become a lone wolf.)
