Furman Q&A live

Post by Metal Vendetta » Wed Dec 12, 2007 6:47 am

A while back Simon Furman very graciously committed himself to answering twenty questions from fans of his comic writing (Transformers and otherwise) - fifteen on the IDW forums and five on his blog. The answers are now up!

You can now read them here and here.

Enjoy!

[edit] oh, the final five haven't been posted yet....anyway *yays* he answered my question but *boos* he didn't give anything away...

[edit][edit]they just got posted as I was browsing his site, so above post edited to include the final five answers...which I'ma go and read now
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

Mine was "are there any obscure characters you'd like to breathe new life into?"

And he basically answered "yes, and you'll see him soon"...though some hints by Limabean over at IDW suggest it might be Needlenose :D

I like that he answered my question, even more that he answered it honestly with Pat Lee disappointment.

Looks like 2008 is going to the year IDW TF really takes off.
"But the Costa story featuring Starscream? Fantastic! This guy is "The One", I just know it, just from these few pages. "--Yaya, who is never wrong.

From what he says, I'm a bit surprised, but it seems the Matrix is still with Nova (Nemesis) Prime in the Dead Universe... which makes it interesting why and how Sentinel and Optimus are Primes then. Or what Prime means in IDW anyhow... And I bet the return of the Matrix will be something like in the old Marvel days (hmm, I just realized Thunderwing is now there in the Dead Universe too!) :)

All in all, Simon gave great answers. And glad to hear Prof. Morris got out of that bunker. :D It has been bugging me that in the TF/Action Force crossover he was totally forgotten and Centurion was written as a sentient cyborg.
