In responses to his latest blog entry SF has let slip the title of the 5th TF 6 issue series from IDW.

http://simonfurman.wordpress.com/2007/0 ... /#comments

also worth noting are that Simon seems to respond readily to comments made there so if you have something to say to Mr Robot Writer that seems to be the place.

Oh, and check out the genius list of things that end in 'ion'...

Personally I'm looking forward to prime and megs making up in TF: Affection.

Love the question that's basically "OMG why don't you write the new movie?"

Fanboys are so cute at times. Even though I think it was a chick. Can't be arsed to check.

I wonder if Stormbringer ever had the working title of Augmentation.

When he said "gaps" between each six-issue section, did he mean there would be a gap in time to hit the stands, as has been with Escalation and Devestation?

Cause I really think that gap really hurts things. Things already seem drawn out, and that several months lag really makes this feel less and less like an ongoing.

The two of you aren't allowed to agree.

Didn't you get the memo?

something for us marvel-formers fans... the 'never say never' thing about xaaron and impactor... would be nice if they could sort out the copyright issues...

to be honest i am under the impression that there isn't any copyright issue and Furman has just decided to leave them be.

Whilst i can kind of see the logic for doing this with Impactor given he was a charachter who was mainly defined by dying (especially as springer isn't being written as a whiney wimp in this continuity) i think Xaaron is a great charachter who adds quite a bit to the myth.

Also be nice to see Rack n Ruin just for the sake of it really, but i guess that plane has already sailed given we have seen the Wreckers already.

I agree, i think Xaaron was one of the greatest characters in the marvel run, his charater was always higly interesting. He wasnt the strongest, or a prime, but had a huge responsibility on his shoulders, one that he handled well. Id love to see more of him, begs the question, if we did see Xaaron again, would we see his Alt mode, would that ruin it a bit.

On the subject of Impactor, its an odd one, for me, he remains a bit of a myth, we dont get to see much of Impy, yet we know hes a bit hardcore, his relationship with Xaaron makes him seem slightly deeper than just a hard nut grunt, and obviously his death makes him into, dare I say it, almost a martyr.

If we saw Impy again, id personally like to see it in flashback form, past tense only, not some crazy all guns blazing comeback, (mainly because im writting that) and i think it would keep Impys legend more intact.

Again, same with RnR, it might be interesting to see there past, and whilst at it, Roadbuster past, i think most of these characters deserve some back story at least.
