So, is this spotlight going to be firmly in the IDW universe, or is it some kind of spin-off from the Avengers debacle?

Its the difference between a definite buy and a walk-on by. For me anyhow...

I WOULD go to the IDW board and look for myself, but I'd probably have to wade through 20 pages of "Ramjet, kewl" and "New Avengers crossover, kewl" type posts to find out. And I might die. By my own hand. Because of the tedium. So I just thought I'd ask......
