Optimus Prime Spotlight preview!

Man, I saw the movie yesterday, but frankly this interests me much more... :) Optimus Prime in a moral crisis, most likely... info (and pics!) of the Primes before Optimus... Omega Supreme... who can ask for more? :)

Btw - the Bots on the viewscreens are Hound (from the upcoming Galvatron Spotlight, talking about Sideswipe's behaviour), Springer (telling Prime Kup was found), Ultra Magnus (has a new lead on Scorponok... guess he's coming to Earth too,as by now it's obvious SCorpy is the proverbial 'head' of the Machination) and... did I see right? Wheelie?!? Furman self-confessedly hates him. Maybe Wheelie is the bot getting killed in the Avengers crossover? Or maybe (shudder) he's the guy mentioned to get his own Spotlight? Seems to be lost or stranded, by the looks of it.

Like the way even OP needs a break sometimes. Listening to all the reports, plus Prowl's reports...

I wonder why Omega, such a powerfull bot is so hidden and connected to machinery... we'll see, two more months.

If one of those word bubbles were Wheelie's, that means he doesn't rhyme! Yay!

The comic looks promising. Definately a breath of fresh air from the Megs Origin comic.

Spotlight Wheelie would be interesting...very interesting...

His must be the one that says "Are you receiving me? Anyone?" As if everybody were ignoring him.

Anyway, a non-rhyming punk with a bit attitude Wheelie might not be half bad.

Well, I'll be darned... it says here that the Don is writing this himself! Hmm, I suppose this could be interesting, but I am often somewhat veary when an artist decides to strike out all by himself, often the writers-skills can be a bit so-so.

I think it's quite possibly why we haven't seen Trypticon in much action either. Supposedly they're the single weapons of mass-destruction above blokes like Sixshot and perhaps even the Gestalts. Only to be deployed when there is never any other option, like when something such as Thunderwing is afoot.

( supposedly, going by DW's version of him, he can take out entire continents in a matter of hours. But I digress..)

It was a mistake - Don posted on TFW2005 to correct that of course Simon is the writer.

You could be right about OS - I totally forgot we saw him and Trypsie in Stormbringer. Can't wait to see old lizardface in the future, his Dark Ages version was incredibly well-written. :)

looks great, I love these insights into a TF world.
Ive always thought OP's day to day life would be long and complex.

I wonder why he seeks counsel with OS? whats suddenly so special about him, hes just a big TF no? not exactlly the sharpest tool in the box.

Who knows what he's like. His profile's a blank slate as far as IDW is concerned.

I got the impression that Ironhide was blown up the last issue of Escalation...but this preview seems to be more ambiguous

'dead or alive, he seems to have dropped off the face of the Earth'
