Of course I saw the first showing on opening night. I waited 21 years for a live-action TF movie, so I wasn't going to wait any longer.

Wow. This was so much better than anticipated. I thought I'd like it, but it's really that good. The first half of the movie (the human story) is the best, even better than the second half (the TF story). I rarely laugh during movies, but this was hysterical at times. Very funny, but done so in a way that it was not a comedy. But I was cracking up! Best part of the film? Shia LaBeouf's acting. He was very, very good in this film. Also, Peter Cullen as Optimus was absolutely the right choice, as Optimus spoke a lot. Hugo Weaving voicing Megatron was fine, not at all a problem. But we needed more Starscream!!!!

B+, 4 out of 5 stars, 2 thumbs up. If it sucked, I would say so, but it did not.
