mmmust....resist......
Ok, I looked at the covers (but nothing else ), and they are stunning! I'm not normally a multiple cover type of guy, but I might struggle this time.

I don't like the pointed horns either, nor the sharp teeth on one of the covers. It looks like a good comic anyway and I'll buy it when it comes out. Does anyone else think that the "anomaly" is...(prepares for almost certain simultaneous outburst)...Unicron?

Galvatron may be from the future. It wouldn't be the first time he time-traveled.Predabot wrote:Yeah, that is actually pretty snazzy-looking stuff.
But am I the only one that is kind of dissappointed that Galvatron is no longer supposed to be an alternate version of Megatron? That is what has been murmured so far, isn't it? Or have we heard anything else from the shiny one recently?

Simon said on his blog that Galvatron will have a master (something he's not too happy about, you bet), but it's not Unicron.
And anyone thinks the alien robots look a lot like the Quints?
I was surprised they were able to hurt Galvy. I like that in this universe, the TFs are not as uber-powerful as back in Marvel, where the Hub essentially ruled half the universe and conquered most worlds without any resistance (making it even more odd why none of the races blamed the attacks on Cybertron).

I always got the impression that Cybertron survived by being very quiet and forgotten in a tucked-away corner of the Universe, entirely concerned in its own civil war and ignored by everyone else in the universe. Given the state it was in by the end of the war it could have been conquered easily I'd imagine, so it's just down to it being a sort of forgotten homeworld it got away with it. Or so I like to think

In fairness they used a 'comet' busting weapon, which looked like a ship sized laser cannon to down Galvatron, considering its probably capable of busting comets its amazing Galvatron survived.BB Shockwave wrote: I was surprised they were able to hurt Galvy. I guess they needed Galvatron on a less then godlike power level, otherwise it'd be like Time Wars all over again. This way I think TFs like Sixshot might ven have a chance against him (and I wouldn't be surprised if Simon plans the two of them to clash at one point).Impactor returns 2.0 wrote:In fairness they used a 'comet' busting weapon, which looked like a ship sized laser cannon to down Galvatron, considering its probably capable of busting comets its amazing Galvatron survived.BB Shockwave wrote: I was surprised they were able to hurt Galvy. Soo, if Galvy is not Megs in this universe, the question arises... who was he before he became what he is? Simon hinted that he "pre-dates Megatron"... which should make it likely that he was on the first ark that dissappeared.Impactor returns 2.0 wrote:Being shot by a weapon designed to smash commets, and surviving is pretty God like no?
I bet thos commet guns put out more power than a fusion cannon?

Perhaps, Unicron simply creates Galvatron from scratch, maybe Galvatron is the ultimate TF body that Unicron can create, and that Unicron would always resort to this template when choosing to build a TF; Also, perhaps the galvatron template is designed to be natrually weak to Hook,Line and Sinker, who are simple robots but highly effective against thier chosen foe.
Anyhows,So when Megatron drifits on by 2005/6, he decided to re-format megatron with a new body because its a more efficient use of reasources, and because megatron is old and battle hardened, his experience makes him a more deadly foe...
just an idea of course...
