Michael Bay has opened a Q&A section through Yahoo.com here. The email address is askmichaelbay@yahoo.com. Some questions will be chosen and answered through a video interview.

I don't care enough, sadly.

Aren't I just a ray of sunshine...

I can't imagine how many death threats and hate mail he's getting. I've been reading responses about this on other sites for kicks and giggles.

My favorites:
Salazaar, Seibertron wrote:"Mister Bay, how does it feel to be added to the list of soon-to-be-shot directors along with Uwe Boll and Micheal Moore?"
1337W422102, Seibertron wrote:"I am eagerly awaiting the opening of Terminator 4 on July 4th. When will the Transformers movie come out?"
Fireblast, Seibertron wrote:I'd ask him "Why did you decide Bumblebee as a Volkswagon makes him look too much like Herbie the love bug?" "Why do we see General Motors vehicles in the movie when you have other brands out there that produce better vehicles?" "Why make Transformers Alien VS Predator like when they are basically giant mechanical transforming beings?" and my favorite "Why bother taking on the role of director for Transformers when all your movies cost a lot to make, majority of film goers think your movies ****, your movies have a few well known actors and a bunch of ****** unknowns, and if he's proud of ruining a 20 year plus legacy of Transformers?"

Of course Bay, Murphy, and the crew could have pleased us by listening to us and didn't lead us to believe it was G1 (remember when it was officially announced the G1 Optimus under a tarp?) when it's a G1, Armada, Cybertron, Beast Machines hybrid. Note to anybody making a movie based off of something; listen to the fanbase and do make they want to see and not make it what you want it to be.

You seem to have mistaken me for someone who values your opinion.
Moonstreaker, TFW2005 wrote:I don't think my ire is unwarrented. With all the other "special" things he has done to *******ize our childhood memories, I think I am being quite resonable.
Moonstreaker(again), TFW2005 wrote:I abhorently dared to say "Megaturd?"

At this juncture I would like to invite all the other petulant children present; who feel the urge to do so, to please insult me now. After all...that is the appropriate thing to do if you disagree with someone. Is it not?

Why do you think I post here? It's peaceful, quiet, and sophisticated.

In our position, where are we in this war? A tower watching the fighting below, a dugout 5 miles away(or 5 kilometers, for you Europeans), or a whole other country?

Somewhere with popcorn. The fandom offers more entertainment than the film is likely to.

Wonder what I'm going to come back to at the end of August...

heh, too true. Even when the designs came out there was no real flame war about them here at Transfans. Maybe we're simply old enough to know bickering won't solve anything?

Maybe so. I'm probably the youngest person here and I bickered about it for months unlike you older guys. I knew after the trailer that the movie was too far down the hole Bay&Co dug for it to be made into a decent, memorable movie. Me and my dad just make jokes about Michael Bay and the movie now that we wore the gripe card out. Maybe it has to do with my recent birthday?

FOr me, i just sit back and laugh, and think about what could have been.

I dont actually have a problem with the robot designs themselves, are they TF? no, not really, TF have key design components I think they missed.

From what I have seen, whilst I think the special effects do look pretty amazing, incredible infact, I find the designs so messy that its hard to keep an eye on whats taking place. the standard TF designs would have worked better IMO.

Ok, so ignoring the ey candy, what about the story line? I fear, from what i have read, its going to be some utterly stupid kiddy traversity. with all the plots on offer in the comics and even the cartoons (ugh) I dont see why they just went off and made up some rubbish thats all childish. target audience perhaps?

Ill watch it, I expect it to be a good robot action movie, will it be TF? not to me, and even if i stretch my mind, its about as TF like to me, as that Citeron advert.

A good question I just realised about the designs. The car-adverts have been using bots that are actually slightly similar to these designs, only a little bit less messy, but still rather diff from the mainstream TF design-tradition.

And let's face it, the bendy metal of the Marvel-comics wouldn't have worked, so what WOULD have worked? Something similar to the Citroen-adverts but chunkier and with more humanoid faces?

I don't know.

I'll preserve judgment on the script after I've seen the filmed story.

The bendy metal of the comics was artistic license - you only need to replace a few parts with working gears etc to make a TF in 3D, i know, ive done it, like countless others.

I am greatly looking forward to this movie. So much so, that I am contemplating a trip to Korea so I can see it early.

It's not what I'm used to, but it looks like something I would enjoy.

I think the Transfans position is best enunciated by the mental image of an individual covering his eyes with his hands to avoid seeing impending disaster, yet whose fingers are slightly ajar, peeking out to see exactly what's going to happen due to curiosity.

As far as what could have been done about the models, I thought, as far as the Autobots go, the Alt/BT designs would have been totally awesome.
