Sector 7 update: Weaving is Megatron?
Post
by Hot Shot » Sat Mar 24, 2007 11:09 am
The Sector 7 website has been updated with the following message:
Operation Hungry Dragon 2 continues. As of today agent H. Weaving has officially convinced S.S., M.B., R.O and A.K. to oversee the Megaman issue. The recording will commence immediately.
All the years of investment into Agent Weavings public persona have finally paid off. We will monitor the campaign from the inside and report on its progress free from suspicion.
By this summer, the population will think N.B.E.'s are nothing more then figments of an overactive imagination.
Our power lies in our secrecy.
This most likely means that Hugo Weaving has gotten the part as Megatron for the movie.
The abbreviations most likely mean:
S.S.= Steven Spielberg
M.B.= Michael Bay
R.O.= Robert Orci
A.K.= Alex Kurtzman.
Thanks to Master Fwiffo of TFW2005 for pointing this out.

The fanboy in me wants Welker.
The realist in me knows that Weaving will rock big time.
NB. Brend, deleted your thread mate. Hot Shot beat ya to it.

By a minute. Because I went off and got the URL to Fwiffo's post, out of respect to the person who reported it first.
Grrr. Argh.

I didn't get the URL, but I went to the post to double check. I'm just...faster.
j/k!
I really think Bay messed up again. The only thing the fanbase has gotten so far is Cullen, and I think that's the only thing we'll get.
Ahem...GODZILLA!

I think Weaving will be a damn fine Megatron. Obviously, I would have liked for them to go with Welker, but it's still a sound casting decision. I will be VERY surprised if Frank does not get at least a small part in the movie.

I'm not going to say I agree with Smooth, as I'm physically incapable of writing those words, but I think Weaving is an awesome choice.
I spent two minutes trying to think of the best way to phrase my Priscilla, QOTD reference... boo!
Grrr. Argh.

Weaving is a splendid choice IMO.

I was never that big a fan of Meg's original voice anyway tbh.

Agree that the world has indeed grown beyond 'old man' Megatron?

Call the Ghostbusters?
As a kid I always heard Megatron in spanish so I dont care his english voice that much. But nonetheless I think Weaving is a good choice.
