I think Geoff decided to do it for old time's sake. we WERE down the pub when he asked about it, so i think he was suddenly overwhelmed by a wave of alcohol-induced nostalgia. Bless.

Cool, cheers for the info. I'll go pester Ryall.
STEVE WHITE wrote:As for fears about a Panini-style title, it'll be over my putrescent, maggot-blown corpse before that happens.
Eyyyyy... [/Fonz]

One of the nice things about the old UK stuff was definitely that it rarely patronised. I responded to that as a kid, and it's almost certainly part of the reason a lot of us are still here.

Re: free gifts, hopefully they'll ship a bit easier than the MOTU title a couple of years back. The way they were taped tended to destroy the covers in transit.

Get Lee Sullivan to a cover or sumfink, assuming he isn't busy gigging as a saxophonist!

A few titbits of interest. Andy Wildman and Nick Roche have joined the artist ranks.

Also, the first free gift (if that's your thang) will be TF dogtags - Autobot and Decepticon. FYI, first issue goes on sale 19th July.

Had a truly massive (and surprisingly) international responce to my posting, which I'm very pleased about. Anybody sending in art of letters to my email address - can you mark it FAN ART please.

This is just becoming far too good to be true...

Looks like 2007 is gonna be a good year for TFs after all! :D

Hmmm... just had a thought....

Well, we have contracts for all continuities, so i guess the universe is my lobster.

I really want to do something with the Dinobots, as they tick my own particular interests.

Is it possible to make the comic in american comic book size and not the skanky A4 UK crap that always tears when you try and remove your free transforming spoon

or something.

This all sounds really exciting. Fingers crossed that Senior is on the game.

Awesome. I'm probably going to be out of the country for a stretch by then, so time to dust off my WHSmiths subs folder...

Sorry, Hound - UK size for UK newsstand. However, these days, we do have glossy covers and special tape that doesn't tear the paper. God bless technology.

That is a decent enough trade-off I guess :)

No free transforming spoon though? :(

The 10 pagers will top and tail the IDW prequel stuff; they'll be vignettes focusing on one character. When i was discussing it with Si, we had Aspects of Evil in mind and kind of ran with that idea. Anyway, early days yet.
That's a great idea! I'm one of the few who liked Aspects of Evil - sure it was a bit out of continuity, but the Megatron one was a great story.

OH, OH! :ididit: I just had a great idea for the free gifts - real plastic transforming versions of the Robocapers' "Transformers who didn't made the grade" ! :D

(for those who don't know, these guys:

Funny thing is, back then how did we laugh at Handlebars' alt mode... we never expected something like Armada Highwire. :)

Positives: Nice vibrant color; stylized art; dramatic prespective and poses.
Negatives: The style reeks of that trendy exaggerated 'powerpuff' vibe. Like something off of cartoon network. Distinctive for sure, but I really hate it.

FYI, Geoff is now confirmed for issue 1 - don't worry, I'll be leaning on him, although he is very excited, well, excited enough to come out of comics retirement...

We're also pushing worldwide subscriptions on this title - we have it on a lot of Titan titles and I think this one is just begging for it.

I'm up for a bit of happy dancing! :)

Can't wait to see Senior back in action.

I'm slightly concerned about having to grasp another continuity though. Despite best efforts I cannot image any future movies tying in with the additional stories that branch out of this comic.

Has it been decided how often the title appears? Twice a month, once a month? :)

I'm open to peoples opinions but don't hold anything back man, go ahead and really say how you feel:)

A lot of people liked this cover very much. But you can't please everyone right.

IDW wouldn't have made it a variant if they didn't feel it would help bring in extra sales.
Trendy???.....I've been working proffessionally in this "my style" for over 10 yrs:)
I don't watch cartoon network so I don't know what their style is but it sounds like I'm onto something if they're doing so well.
