Eh.Roll Out
I’m hearing rumors of a Transformers / Avengers crossover coming out next summer, just in time for the new live action Transformers movie. No word on who the creators are yet, but scripts are being worked on as we speak.

Did you know that, after the original series (an episode of which inspired The X-Men's Hellfire Club) finished, there was another series called, "The New Avengers"?

But I agree with Legion that a man in a bowler hat accompanied by a woman in an 'Emmapeeler' would make for better company for Prime & Co. against Megatron & Co. allied with a madman whose head lackey has a baboon for a face!
Maybe even have a cameo of an ex-spy with a two-tone outfit to boot?

Random question: Is Clearmont English? The resemblance to The Avengers episode is blatant (even down to the to the baddy being called Jason Wyngard- a joining of the episodes main guest star's last name and his most famous character's first name) but it wouldn't have been broadcast in America at the time they first appeared in X-Men. The episode was dropped from the US run due to the five minuets of Diana Rigg in a bodystocking and thigh length boots holding a snake and being whipped (the exact moment sex was invented in the UK).Professor Smooth wrote: Did you know that, after the original series (an episode of which inspired The X-Men's Hellfire Club) finished, there was another series called, "The New Avengers"?
And whilst a lot of The New Avengers is a lovely reformating of the show, The New Avengers In Canada causes cancer in kittens.

CONFIRMED!!
I don't know if this is going to kick ass on any level besides sheer awesomeness, but I'm hopeful.
Since they're dealing with Infiltration and Escalation, we should get non Movie TF, which is sweet. On July 5th. The Robots in Disguise take on the Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
Launching the same week as the Transformers movie, New Avengers/Transformers is a four-issue miniseries just announced at Joe Quesada's Cup 'O Joe panel at NYCC. It pits IDW's successfully relaunched Transformers against the House of Ideas' flagship team. Written by Stuart Moore with artwork by Top Cow's Tyler Kirkman, the series marks a new partnership on several levels.
Set in a time prior to the events of Marvel Civil War, the New Avengers/Transformers mini-series tells of an Earth where the Transformers and Marvel superheroes have co-existed peacefully and out of each other's line of fire for years… until now. "We see this as a previously untold adventure that happens between the first two story arcs of New Avengers (Breakout and Sentry) – and after the events of the first two Transformers arcs (Infiltration and Escalation)," explained Bill Rosemann, the Marvel editor in charge of this mini-series. "The New Avengers line-up is Captain America, Iron Man, Luke Cage and Spider-Man – with Ms. Marvel and the Falcon called in for air support!"
But what about the Transformers?
"Looking at the Autobots available after the Infiltration story arc, we’ve lined up familiar faces like Bumblebee, Ratchet, Prowl, Jazz and Wheeljack – all led by Optimus Prime himself," revealed Rosemann. "As for the Decepticons, with evil afoot, can Starscream and Megatron not be far behind?"
In this continuity, with the Transformers and the Marvel Universe having co-existed on the same Earth for a long time, it takes a situation of great magnitude for them to be drawn together. The catalyst is that the nations of Symkaria and Latveria go head-to-head in an all-out war. In an attempt to defuse the situation, S.H.I.E.L.D. calls on Captain America and his teammates to investigate a mysterious object that appears to be in the middle of the Symkaria/Latveria struggle. And that's where the Transformers come in.
Finding the proper scope in writing action between superheroes and super robots can be a difficult thing. Writer Stuart Moore relates the book's action to an Ultimates-level wide-screen action movie comic. "Part of what we want to accomplish, though -- and they've done this beautifully in the IDW books -- is give a sense of awe to the Transformers, as seen through the eyes of ordinary (super)humans," said Moore. "The Autobots have stayed hidden for a reason; they're big, scary, and extremely powerful. Their presence could cause real panic on Earth."
While it might cause panic on Earth, the idea of the Transformers and Marvel's Avengers meeting each other has caused excitement both among fans and deep in the halls of comic publishing houses. As some people might know, Marvel has a rich history with Hasbro's Transformers.
"While the Transformers are a licensed property, they were partly “home grown” at Marvel back in the ‘80s through the popular tie-in comics and the character bios written for the toys," said Marvel's Rosemann. "So we’re all familiar with the characters and their personalities. When our pal Chris Ryall at IDW – who has been an incredibly knowledgeable and passionate ally throughout every step of the creative process -- approached us about uniting for a Transformers/Marvel adventure, it felt right."
In bringing these two diverse sets of characters face-to-face for the first time, there is an opportunity for a cornucopia of character pairings between the two that could get fans going. Stuart Moore's well aware of those expectations, and it taking advantage of them. "I don't want to give too much away, but there are some amazing combinations of characters here. Avengers vs. Autobots, Autobots vs. Decepticons, Avengers and Autobots vs. Decepticons...and even more," teased Moore. "Oh, and let's just say you'll have to wait a bit to see Iron Man. But it'll be worth it."
I don't know if this is going to kick ass on any level besides sheer awesomeness, but I'm hopeful.
You, good sir, are a gentleman and a scholar."I originally reached out to Marvel on this one," said Chris Ryall, IDW's Editor-In-Chief about the miniseries' origin. "I thought it'd be fun to team the Transformers with either the Avengers, or maybe the Fantastic Four (since they have a movie coming the same time as the Transformers movie). New Avengers made the most sense, and here we are."
