An article on Spotlight: Licensing Show 2006 at
http://www.playthings.com has reported the following;
http://www.playthings.com/article/CA6344835.html
Transformer fans will have a lot to look forward to next year as a new line of Generation One (G1) products hit the market—especially in the digital media space—due to a partnership with Activision. These offerings will debut in 2007 along with a movie produced by Dreamworks Pictures and Paramount Pictures. An extensive line of movie merchandise will be available, including digital media, apparel, accessories, publishing and home decor. Additional licensed products include comics (IDW), apparel and accessories (Accessory Network) and collectibles (Diamond Select Toys), plus an online personalization portal that will provide customizable classic Transformers images on t-shirts, sweatshirts and stamps.

Well, I guess they're basically saying we'll be seeing more of the Classics line, and that we'll get a lot of promo-stuff for the new Movie, toys, games, cups and stuff, and a comic-adaption I suppose.

True (Though I like the sound of that T-shirt gimmick) but the indication of a movie adaptation is interesting especially when coupled with this article
http://www.moviehole.net/mailbag/200606 ... 20606.html
A. Darren, “Bloodsport 2” has unfortunately met with some problems – hasn’t been disclosed what, but I can only assume and say they’re either financial or legal - but writer/director Sheldon Lettich is apparently trying to get back on top of things, and steer it back into production. This sequel won’t have any connection to the first film. Van Damme isn’t even playing the same character (he played real-life martial artist, Frank Dux, in the original). At this stage, the film’s title is “Bloodsport : The Beginning”. As for “Transformers”, Van Damme is no
longer attached to play Optimus Prime. That was a joke. Ya see what I did there? Yeah, it’s shaping up nicely – we’ve got a cast, we’ve got a teaser trailer, we’ve got a feeling Comic-Con is going to be the compound for one heck of a marketing blitz for it.
This marketing blitz coinciding with the Bob/Don unveiling at the San Diego Comic-con could mean Bob is going to be doing a movie adaptation. I'll probably start a thread about this at IDW. If it isn't true Chris will be qucik to squash the theory.
Though due to the timing I'd say its probably unlikely and hence I won't bother asking this...

I don't see why it would be that unlikely?
