Transformers Classics listing in Transformerclub -with pics!

Transformersclub has posted pics of the upcoming classics line toys: Optimus, Hot Rod, Astrotrain and Starscream! The pics are only vieweble by members, but I've seen them and they all look neat!

I won't post them here since Seibertron doesn't want that and I take Besty wouldn't want to get into trouble with TFClub either.

Hot Rod's transfornmation is like Cybertron's Hot Shots, but he's much more articulated. Funnily his engine is now on his chest in robot mode.

SS is waay cool, though a bit modernised. He looks much more cybertronian-ish due to all the tech detail, and his wings are more red now.

Optimus is cool, and so is Astrotrain but we've seen them already, they look even better colored.

Oh and the best part - the return of RUBSIGNS!!! I never thought I'd live to see the day...

Incredible! they've even made astrotrain's gun look similar to the original toy's gun.

Everyone is upset at Megs, but note:

-For the first time since 1984, Megatron is a guna again. That deserves some praise...

-Look at the head sculpt. IMHO, even more close to the original cartoon/comic head then AM Megatron's...

Me, I'm gonna get some paint when this comes out and repaint the whole toy back to G1 colors - especially the lime Tidal-Wave green. Urgh.

And the new image of Grimlock makes me think your suggestion is even more valid, since I highly doubt we'll be seeing the Dinobots in the first movie.

Megatron looks like a pile of **** again - but Denyers Abrhams Megatron find looks pretty amazing - I wonder if its a movie version?

I love Abrhams tanks they give me a hard on.

I can't say I'm that fond of the tan on that Megatron really. Still, better than lime-green. He'd look wicked with cammo tho, wouldn't he? It's G2 Megs!

The links are dead. On the other hand, I have a link of my own of the lil' fella. Have a looksee.

I will assume that it's ok to show these now? They were leaked a good while ago, but haven't been entirely public because it was supposed to be an exclusive sneak-peak for the club-members.

Btw lads, he looks smashin'.

There's also been an update that reveals the fully coloured look of Astrotrains bullet-train mode.

Note how some of them are mistransformed...

I'm really liking that Starscream - too bad he's surfaced together with the MP one so he'll be forever in the big bot's shadow.

Funny there's no artwork on the boxes - I hope there are Tech Specs on the other side, though. Note how the TRansformers logo is just like the old G1 one...

It's lame though that the Con boxes aren't purple - even Cybertron had that variety.

Note something too - Astrotrain is a Psy-Ops warrior now, not a Transport unit... Wonder if we'll have any comic/cartoon supporting the line.

Now only Blitzwing and Grimlock to be revealed... and we have seen Grimbo on color chart already.

Also note - Megatron's eyes are translucent green... nice Skyquake cameo but why? Red would have looked better. I'm also quite sure Megs cannon will make sounds from the looks of it. Cartoon fusion cannon sounds would be perfect...

Dude, I'll take this Starscream over the MP one any day. My wallet will thank me.

I always liked Megs so much better as a tank. Brings back memories of his multiple @$$-kickings in G2. If only they would release a toy that came with Bludgeon's severed head.

Check out Megatrons big-ass canon!

It's been ages since I saw a Megs that had a good proper sized canon.

These guys look good even in the non-retouched images, and the boxes are cool ( maaybe they could use some grid-pattern on the back of wave 2 or something? That would be a very healthy nod

) and I also noticed something on them...

This line is supposed to be called More than Meets the Eye, right? Then how come that isn't on the packaging? They've got the somewhat more tired Robots in Disguise under the main text-logo instead...

And about that... it would appear as if... the line is simply called... TRANSFORMERS, on the box, and seeing as the characters are all the same old friends that we know and love, could it be..?

Maybe it's time to finally add another year on the Transformers-timeline of releases in the G1 toy-section..?
