Now, other then the mega-uber-coolness that is Don's art, we see on the pic...
-Wreckers (with redesigned Jumpstarters and Deluxe Bots no less!)
-Jetfire and his team of Technobots...
-TWW form Predacons!!!! Note how Tantrum and Headstrong are wearing the Predking feet on their backs as cannons
-The 87 Head-and Targetmasters!
-Ultra Magnus!
-TWW flashback, with lots of already known redesigns (TRypticon, Megs, OP, Ravage, Sideswipe) and new ones (Cosmos, Warpath, Hoist, Omega Supreme)
-And no Dinobots in sight! Not that I don't like them, but they need to take a break.
-And here comes the most interesting part... Pretenders!
Some are in the upper left corner, while in the lower right we see what's possibly Thunderwing's armored form, although it could be Roadblock too.
The interesting thing is, the pictured con Pretenders, like Bomb-Burst or especially Finback, look like they are part pretender and part TF at the same time... they have little details that indicate the way their pretender shells look like, and they are using the shell's weapons too!
I spotted in the top row Bomb-Burst, Iguanus (note the fanged hood and the bicycle wheels) , then what's really likely Bludgeon (Tank threads on back, helmet looks like his pretender helmet, and has a katana...).
Below are whom I think to be Bugly and Finback, note Finback's helmet looks just like his Shell's.
With these pics and Furman's saying about how he reimagined the pretender Tech in a whole new way, I'm really curious about where this is going... perhaps a cult that wants part-organic TFs? Or the TFs on Cybertron had to wear organic shells just to survive?
At any rate, from the previews we know there is gonna be a cult woshipping THundy, and best guesses are our old Chaos Trinity friends Bludgeon and Bugly will be in it...

I think they're not trying to look organic, or contain anything semi-organic at all. I think the shells are mostly for protection, and if they are in fact created in order to protect them from the cosmic radiation that's about to ravage their planet and not to blend in with organic beings, they're probably going to be robotic-looking.
The poster is unbelievably cool, and the Transfan that can get it on his wall is one lucky guy.

In one hefty tank of a battle-suit!Best First wrote:looks great.
i don't think the Jumpstarters are redesigned tho.
is that TW bottom left with the big claws n stuff?
Either that, or, given the large amount of purple, claws for hands and feet, and the two antenna-like things sticking out of his back, a redesigned insecticon, possibly?

I looked at the had of that big battle-suit, and it's indeed TW's head, behind a windshield. Interesting...
Besty, at least Twin Twist is redesigned - his drills are pointing upwards in robot mode - on the toy they are behind his feet.

Whirl, not Twirl. Good to see him around. Hope he gets some lines!Impactor returns 2.0 wrote:Thats the wreckers bottom left no? - Twirl, with a suit on, Roadbuster in main view, Springer just behind holding his helicopter blades sword, and then the jump starters - dont know who the bloke in red is tho - bring back Impy!
The bloke in red is Broadside. They've used the toy design (as seen in DW's comics), rather than the Marvel UK design.

fair enough, its a preference thing I guess. I prefer my blacks to be black and my whites to be white in value. when I look at the orginal I see a white haze over everything.
If I was tinting the whole image I would tint individual Transformers with blue light and adjust the hues of each TF to match the colour tones of blue - it would take ******* ages I know. by applying the blue filter to the entire image you lose your contrast where you shouldnt.
bottom line is, if you like it or not, the white haze irks me, I prefer to see the colors in thier orginal form - if it was blue tinted correctly it might not bother me but im a stickler for accurate rendering.
Im not putting the work down its a minor detail im just picky about.

I know how to calibrate a monitor, funnily enough. The original image is already normalised, and whilst red/blue balance is a matter of taste...Impactor returns 2.0 wrote:If your image shows my edit to be too contrasty then your monitor might not be set up correctly.
Normalised on each channel:
Equalised:
Gamma what you've got by a factor of 1.5 and everything's fine -- do you already have gamma applied in a display colour profile, or is the brightness on your screen just turned up high?
the reason i didnt do something like that is because then the image looks dark, muddy, and everything blends into everythingImpactor returns 2.0 wrote:Twirl sorry - Ah BS looks cool.

it becomes to high contrast and saturated [that right there would probably bleed ever so nicely through the stock cuz the colors are so "thick"]
so yeah
dont like it? well, dont know what else to say :P
i already fiddled long enough with that poster and i'm not about to mess with it any more :P i'm quite pleased with the results i got
