Seibertron review of FCBD TF (Stormbringer, Hearts of Steel)

LINK CONTAINS SPOILERS.

Stormbringer sounds fresh -- it's not a War Within style Cybertron story from these indications. Hearts of Steel, meanwhile, sounds much more interesting than I was anticipating. Quite excited. :)

Steve's looking into getting either from Diamond or US retailers.

Even if the previews appear online after FCBD, I'd still like to see what kind of package IDW have put together to get people interested.

Looking forward to Stormbringer... not only do we get Thunderwing and the Wreckers, Simon decided to explore the scientist Jetfire we got to know in TWW 2 again, which is always a good thing.

Plus, my old dream come true, finally some character developement for the Technobots... It's interesting how Furman starts to develop chars on his DW and IDW run whom he never or hardly touched back in the Marvel days (Blaster, Ratbat, Ironhide). Plus, they are old favourites of mine. Now, if Furman introduces the Terrorcons somewhere later, I can die happy. :D

The prospect of Cybertron being war-torn and empty is an intersting one - makes the Con's locust-like conquering warstyle seem more logical. And certainly a better explanation for the TF exodus then the old meteor storm or 'ran out of energon' stuff.

-I'm not really riled up over Hearts of Steel - SS in charge and BB befriending a guy sound pretty much like the first issues of Infiltration over again. I also don't know a thing about the Writer's previous works (was he called Dixon or something?). Someone can point me to his work?

Plenty of Batman related books in the 90s. If Semic was releasing Batman in Hungary, you surely must have had Dixon stuff. First Robin mini-series was his, as I think was Electric City.

For Marvel he wrote stories for various Punisher series.

With you there; In particular, Jetfire leading the Technobots is something I've wanted to see for ages, so this was really great news for me.
