Transformers Movie Shooting location semi finalists

That's right, the locations that they are thinking about shooting this thing in has been revealed, and they are as follows.

location semi finalists:Califronia,Nevada,Arizona,New Mexico,DC,Florida,New York,Massachusetts,Illinois,Michigan,Texas,Alaska and Canada.

I've just had a lenghty discussion about the geographic scenery and locations of these states/entire country and come to the conclusion that North California or South Vancouver are the best bets for getting something as similar as possible to the location of the Ark, wich is theoretically in Oregon.

Anybody have any input as to where it should be shot, judging from the list given, and the list only?

I myself think that Northern California is the best bet, it's got a wee bit of dessert, a lot of forest, and even a little mountain called Mount Shasta wich seems suitable for the needs of the Transformers.

I've been trying to just have a wee bit of dessert myself...

I imagine it would be a better, cheaper, more tax-breaky situation to shoot in BC. Then it'll look like Battlestar Galactica.

Apparently one of the indian-names for Optimus Prime, is Chief Skell.

So, some of you lads liked DC, right? Well, I'm still holding out for North California, since it's actually right below Oregon, where the whole shebackle was to have taken place some 20 odd years ago.

Speaking of the movie, when do you know the movie is going to suck?

When it stars some guy called Shia LaBeouf in it, that's when.

Who the hell is this guy, and why are they thinking about getting him?

We need someone like Tom Hanks on this sucker.

Why would we need Tom Hanks in the role of Spike..?

Having some no-name actors might actually be a good thing, it's worked for other sci-fi movies in the past.

He's a good kid. Not annoyin like the little Anakin from ep 1, or Ashton Kutcher, or Haley joel Osmond. He'll be quite cool.

On the other point. Anyone think Sprarkplug, Bruce willis? Stick a yella hat on the bugger.........

Shia LaBeouf has been confirmed by Don Murphy as to play Spike Witwicky in the movie and that he will encounter the first elite sentinal tf when going to purchase his first car.

dammit over zealous on the clicky, meant to say that who do y'all reckon it is then? Bumblebee, if staying remotely to G1, most of the others are sports cars, probably a bit out of the riggers depth, or is he picking up a new truck for his employers........big..........red...........dammit spike works for parcelforce!
