Read on TFW2005.com a short while ago that the 2006 BotCon convention will be right here in beautiful Lexington, Kentucky! September 28-Oct. 1 2006.

Woohoo!

That's not too bad a drive from Chi-town.

Apparently if they get more than a thousand attendees per day they're in trouble, as that's the capacity of the convention centre.

Nice to see optimism for a convention held during term on the part of the organisers, eh?

1000? I have been inside both Heritage Hall and Rupp Arena, both are much larger than that. Also, the hallway outside the convention Hall room itself is extremely wide, and for other conventions I've seen dealer tables and such set up out there as well. There's plenty of room regardless of what the given capacity is. This is, afterall, the same building that the WWE will host the No Mercy PPV from this year. I doubt they'll take the whole building, and having been to OTFCC 2004, seeing how many people were there and such as well as physically being in this year's site multiple times, I'm certain there'll be no problems.

Good to hear. Now if they'd decided to hold it at a time parents, students etc. could attend, things'd be peachy. :)

Yeah that's true. Hard to go when they hold it in the middle of a semester. Good thing I'll graduate with my bachelors this spring so it won't be an issue with me. I missed last year so I can't wait to head up this time. :D
