Alternator Richochet Gallery!

Post by Professor Smooth » Sun Feb 05, 2006 6:54 pm

Ricochet, originaly a repaint of Jazz is now an Alternator! (Though why he's a repaint of Silverstreak is anyone's guess) The first gallery of this figure is now available online. Check it out to see what you'll be hunting for, buying online, having imported, or leaving to collect dust on the shelf!

I notice that he's got a remolded head? The colours are pretty good, but these refreshes are getting a bit tiresome.

Seems to be nothing different from the pics that first appeared in December.

The difference is the 128 additional pictures. In my current financial situation, I'm not going to buy a Transformer based on a vehicle mode and a front shot of its robot mode. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say say that the more details I can get get of how a product will look on my shelf the better. I may want to leave it boxed, but I may want that box facing a certain way, for example. Or, if I'm opening another remold of Smokescreen, maybe I want it posed to be facing away from the others. Who knows?

In-packaging pics are at online stores and on eBay. It's a repaint with no new transformation scheme. Clear shots of the robot and alt mode were around a month ago.

It's a standard site content update, in other words.

Standard site content updates are older figures. Figures that are not yet readily available at all retail locations are a bit more important. Hence why I felt this merited posting while the hundreds that came before it did not. Seibertron.com posts a gallery of an old figure = not news. Seibertron.com posts a gallery of a figure that people are still hunting for = news to me.

its not news in my opinion - news is a new figure, or a previoulsy unseen mode, not lots of shots of a figure we have seen before from some different (and in some cases wholey unneccesary) angles.

you can see shots of this guy on Hasbro's website and have been able to do so for a while, ergo this isn't news its site content.

Its like spidey submitting his Infiltration review to every news forum under the justification taht soem people have not read it yet.

It's news to me - I've never heard of this "Richochet" figure.

Nyuck. And, indeed, nyuck.

So... are you saying we should or shouldn't do that?

only 136 pictures?? that is unfair! I cannot accept that there are no 500 pictures of this brand new repaint!
