My Little Pony Transformers?

What's that, you said? There is no way that Hasbro could come up with a Transformers crossover line that you would be less likely to buy than the Star Wars TFs? How does this grab ya? I've been told that Hasbro is seriously considering a small line of Transformers/My Little Pony cross-over figures aimed at a female audience. The figures would likely be in the same price point as the My Little Pony Scooters sized figures. If accurate, the line would consist of four original ponies that change into "cute" robots (think Playskool GoBots meet Beast Wars).

This is not a joke. This is supposedly being seriously considered.

Wonder if Takara's version will be full of die-cast, chrome, and backstory.

It probably wouldn't tie into Beast Wars. Using names like Arcee and Elita-1 would make sense, however they would probably want to go "cuter."

There was nothing mentioned about these at the UK Toyfair, which I'm kind of bummed about. My girlfriend collects My Little Pony, after all.

Anyone remember the Happy Meal ad they did donkeys years ago when you had a choice between a TF and a My Little Pony? They showed two boys who'd picked the Transformers, looking miserable and alone- thena third boy who'd gone for the Pony and had biatches all over him wanting to touch his horse.

In short, the moral was: Transformers suck.
