Wildfur Update (Includes Beast Wars Spoilers)

"WILDFUR UPDATES: 2/12/05

EXCLUSIVE BOOKPLATED DARK AGES TRADE ON TFAUCTIONS
At this year's Auto Assembly, Wildfur Productions unveiled ultra-limited,
signed (by Simon Furman and Andrew Wildman) and bookplated editions of
Transformers: War Within ‹ The Dark Ages (trade paperback), which were duly
snapped up like hot cakes on a cold winter's day. But, cunning entrepreneurs
that we are, we kept back one or two copies to sell at a later date. Well,
that later date has arrived, and one of these ultra-rare
(signed/numbered/bookplated) trades is now up on the TFAuctions site at
http://www.tfauctions.com, awaiting your consideration. What are still doing
here, reading this? Get bidding before it's going, going, gone!

REVISTING BEAST WARS
It seems everyone's chomping at the bit for more details on the upcoming
(starting in February '06) four-issue Beast Wars limited series, The
Gathering. Well, we can confirm that the comic will definitely tie into the
established TV series continuity, and in fact wraps itself around events
circa the season three episode, Changing of the Guard. But, curiously, the
new cast (of non-TV show toy characters) are set never to actually meet
their TV cousins. How is this possible, you ask? Well, let's just say that
Magmatron, the villain of the piece, wants to do his dirty deeds on
prehistoric Earth and begone, without so much as a ripple in time and space.
Just wait and see how he manages that! What else can we reveal? How about
the return of Ravage (in a kick-ass new Transmetal body), the mystery of the
mutants and the debut (in Beast Wars) of G1 Grimlock and Prowl? We spoil
you, we really do. For more information go to http://www.idwpublishing.com

REVISTING DEATH'S HEAD
Or, more literally, recreating Death's Head. For anyone who's been living
under a rock for the past few months, Death's Head is back, in the pages of
Marvel's Amazing Fantasy. The five-part Unnatural Selection storyline runs
in issues #16-20 of that title, and features the return of A.I.M. (Advanced
Idea Mechanics) and the recreation of Death's Head. Sadly, it's not
everyone¹s favourite bounty-hunter (yes?) from the original comics and the
UK Transformers continuity, or even the upgraded Minion version from Death's
Head II (despite the A.I.M. connection), but a whole new character with a
whole new set of (lethal) quirks. However, we're not ruling out the odd
Death's Head lineage link or two, and it might be worth looking at this as
less of a sequel and more of a prequel! Nuff said! The new Death's Head also
ties into major events happening the larger Marvel Universe right now. The
series kicks off this month, don't miss it. For more information go to
http://www.marvel.com

WATCH OUT FOR
Coming soon: updates/news on the Transformers (IDW) summer event
storyline, another Furman-penned series for Marvel and an incredible new
UK-originated Transformers project, so secret that if we told you, we¹d have
to shoot you all!

You may wanna add a spoiler warning to the BW stuff...

Do they have an informal deal to publicise TFAuctions, by the way? I got a Dark Ages one and passed it on to someone via eBay, which has far more people watching. Fetched cover price. Anyway, it's peak season in December and there are less than 100 auctions on there.
