At the risk of basically cutting and pasting from before, I'd be very interested to see modern Budiansky writing. Furman didn't have the same pressures to introduce an incessant stream of characters, and Bob turned in some solid early writing including a large chunk of the notes everything since has been based on. :)

Now, if we can just persuade 'em to slip in Ghosts as a back-up strip in one of the reprint comics, there'll actually be a full set of G2-issue stories available...

Yep, the fact that there's a chance Bob will come back has made my day. :)

I'm also excited about this "something special… between the first storyline and the second one."

Hmmm, Ghosts.... poor decision to drop that from the G2 reprints I thought.

I can kind of see the reasoning... it doesn't fit into that chronology and they may have been trying to balance the pagecounts or something. OTOH, it's short, a moderately snappy script and it's Geoff Senior art.

Maybe there's a more pressing question that should have been put to "Chris"?

very nice interview tho, sounds like a great guy to be working on the comics.

That's if he's talking about himself. Word association is what stuff makes people think of... could be roughly the time his partner's maternity leave is due to start.

Nick Roche to do a cover? Apparently he did the Chrischarger, but who is he?? I'm gonna haveta google em'.

I just dearly hope that Ryall will be able to get a hold of Budiansky. :)

And did you see what Ryall said? He said we're more vocal even than the Angel-fans! I'm gonna interpret that as if we're TOUGHER!! ;)

Good work, guys, cheers all round. (beers all round?)
Everyone loves Ratchet. :)

Nick Roche is the chap who redrew several pages of the old TF comic, the battle in the scrapyard in particuiar, isn't he? That first pic Josh put up is from that I think. Those pages are sweet

Such interesting plans are coming out of IDW; the reprint comics will be lovely to see.

Hmm. I guess it IS "paternity" and not "maternity," isn't it? I typed that at first and it didn't look right. Maybe it's all those of years of fearing "paternity suits" from strange women I no longer remember that had me scared off of using the word.

Or maybe it's the idea of me having a kid at all that's got me freaked out.

At any rate, poor word choices aside, I enjoyed the interview. Nicely done.

And you'll be seeing more and more of Nick Roche's work, too, and I think when you do, you'll be pretty satisfied like I am.

Cool. Josh is right, his stuff is sexy.

Hm. Sounds good. Certainly it looks from his comments like IDW are going to do a better job than Dreamwave. OK, so it's hardly difficult, but if they're coming at it with the attitude expressed in the interview, they might just get to the same level - or beyond - as Marvel UK :D
