That's not Dreamwave. Some guy bought the name.

Why the hell he wanted it with the events attached to it is a mystery... okay, buy the intellectual property, but the common-sense thing to do would be rename...

The guy seems pretty convinced he can scrape the s**t off the DW logo and relaunch it as a sucessful brand. I agree, Denyer, it seems as mistake to me.........

I say: the best of luck to him. :)

And I hope we'll see some fairly decent comics. I see nothing wrong with the ressurrection of one of the smaller elephants on the comic-market. If successful, it will no doubt be a jumping-point for new, fresh young talent who wants to try their hands at a rather unforgiving industry.

Besides, now that all the bad people are gone, shouldn't it be possible to fish out some of the small grains that was good with Dreamwave?

Come on, give him a chance. And Denyer, send em' a script. Maybe he'll think your right for his company, maybe we'll be seeing your name in ink. :)

The fact that they are soliciting artists first and writers second suggests Pat Lee's lagacy is alive and well...

Don't be so quick to judge. From what I know, their editorial department staff are quite experienced. They most likely are bringing in their own experienced writers.
Frankly, I couldn't figure out why anyone would buy a company with mostly copycat properties, but then, would any new company gets even the TF community talking let alone comic book community in general? This is an attention grabber strategy as far as I could tell.

Short term gain though. Do any of these titles have that big a following?

Still, at least if he is creating jobs in Norh America something useful is coming out of DW's ashes.

Nope. but as far as I know, they are developing new materials, so I am reserving my judgement. If anything, they should get rid of that god awful logo.

So they've basically got Warlands (copy of Lodus War) and Dark Minds (most obvious copy of Ghost in the Shell possible). What can be done with those that hasn't already? Good luck to them, though. I look forward to entering some of my material in their 2006 talent search.

That be the writers-search, yes? What kind of a story are you going to submit?

I thought it was a bad idea to use a name that has such negative connotations in the minds of so many freelancers.

By the way, EJ, nice to see you. Those preview covers look awesome.
