I find it weird as well. There is no other SF series or movie where an element of the fanbase seems to think it is sexist that there aren't 'female' mechanoids. Especially when no-one ever said the existing mechanoids are male. Nobody needed pink R2 units in Star Wars.
They don't have sex. They don't reproduce sexually. They are not sexual beings, thus they ARE NOT MALEs. So Arcee IS NOT FEMALE.
She is just pink.
I feel better now
Impy, you should start a counselling service.

I always thought that silver C3PO in Empire was a female.

Whats more sexist if anything is suggesting that Arcee, who is neither male or female, is female because she is 'pink' ...

Neither male nor female, but you just called her 'she'.

He nagged like my wife, anyway!! "well thats no good because now I can't see. What? I'm backwards"
And good point Impy. I never thought about the pink issue like that, but yeah, why can't arcee be brown? Cos it wouldn't look like a girl? All, very dodgy really.
By the way, my wife doesn't nag really......And it was very sexist of me to suggest that 50% of the popualation can be characterised in such a way. I was obviously joking before anyone trys to slay me.
