Scottish freedom election!

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Scottish freedom election!

Post by Predabot » Fri Sep 19, 2014 12:20 am

Yes indeed! =) I find this rather exciting! I really, really hope they vote YES myself, it's about time the Scottish get to throw off the yoke of ye' Saxons! Freedom for our Celtic friends, I say!

But what say you? You who are Saxons and Romans, the whole bleemin' lot of you! What say you? Do you care at all? Do you wish for them to stay? Or is it that you can't wait to finally be rid of them?

Tell me your feelings, fellow Transfans! =)

Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.

Oh the usual, a bit tired and questioning many life choices, but glad it's nearly the weekend. Also I'm seeing Kate Bush tomorrow night. I'm over the moon that Rewind is back. Bit excited for my holiday to New York in 3 weeks. Can't decide whether I want a staffy, dachshund or frenchie. Glad my new phone is coming today, already trying to plan how to use my extra row of icons. Wish my brain would stop zapping but it's nice to be off antidepressants. I do wonder whether I should have spent £40 on a copy of Super Mario RPG last night though

So the election didn't go, which is a shame, because it could have been a new moment in indigenous people's politics. England's been mucking about in Scotland since there were people there, and vice versa, but to sever a political tie at the same time as a geographic tie, to have the resources involved that are there, to make that impact on European politics--it would have all made for interesting stuff. Imagine the implications for US relations to its "domestic dependent nations."
