I thought it meant that Gallifrey only now existed in a single instant, so you couldn't find the place past, present, or future unless you knew what precise instance in time it now occupied.
But, I guess it's actually been moved to another location in a different dimension, which isn't at all what was said in the anniversary.
Oh, goddamnit. It's in a ****ing fog watch somewhere, isn't it?

That wasn't even Gallifrey. It was the desert planet where the War Doctor ummed and ahhed about using the Moment. The dead giveaway was the final scene in Listen where it was revealed that it was the same barn.Brendocon wrote:In Listen?
That was Gallifrey in the past, along the Doctor's own timeline. If he wanted to go back to there/then he could use the telepathic circuits to get to it himself. But it still wouldn't tell him where it is now.

You say different dimension, I say pocket universe. Same thing. The tardises moved it into something analogous to E-Space.Professor Smooth wrote:I thought it meant that Gallifrey only now existed in a single instant, so you couldn't find the place past, present, or future unless you knew what precise instance in time it now occupied.

Also I was under the impression that in the old series they'd established that without overriding some hefty protocols a tardis wouldn't be able to visit Gallifrey's past (from the tardis' point of view).

Good point, well made. 10/10 for paying attention. Whereas I score a hey the kettle's boiled.Bumblebot wrote:That wasn't even Gallifrey. The barn wasn't *on* Gallifrey? That makes things easier.

Re: The Mother****in Doctor Is In
That was, without a doubt, the best single episode of Doctor Who I've ever seen.

The Ashieldir storyline had so many parallels to a DWM comic adventure (The Glorious Dead storyline), I hope the epilogue doesn't mean that the gate is left open for a rehash.

Gotta say, this series is not really grabbing me. Struggling to put my finger on why.

Because they're all two-handers with most of the clues to part 2 telegraphed in part 1?

It's been hit or miss for me. But when it's hit, it's hit HARD. The misses have been largely "just okay", imo. But, WOW, Peter Capaldi is just a joy to watch as the Doctor. He's just so, so, so GOOD.

Yeah, I loved Heaven Sent. I'm quite obsessed with it actually.
Re: The Mother****in Doctor Is In
Peter Capaldi is ******* amazing as Doctor Who. And I really liked Matt Smith.
Jenna Coleman. I would ******* marry her.
