Winter Soldier

Really liked that.
Solid adaptation of the core concept, transplanted into the world that's already been created whilst running with things established in the first film.
Doesn't overcomplicate itself by running too far with the resolution of the WS stuff.
That Agent 13 lass is pretty.
Stays just the right side of ridiculous with Zola.
Falcon is great. Shame they excised the bird telepathy. Was really looking forward to seeing them tackle that...
Not sure where this is going to leave Agents of MEH though.
Bonus bits both in the middle of the credits and at the end.
Mid credits bit is tasty as **** and answers some lingering logistical questions about another upcoming film.
Post creds bit is nice but probably not that essential if you're in a hurry to get out of the cinema.

So I don't give a toss about spoilers: what's the status quo altering/changing thing that happens during the movie that's been teased?

Captain America discovers his world atlas from his childhood, and that all the maps therein are still accurate. His encyclopedia collection, however, is beyond outdated.Shanti418 wrote:So I don't give a toss about spoilers: what's the status quo altering/changing thing that happens during the movie that's been teased?

Re: Winter Soldier
Saw it yesterday, loved it. Had a great cerebral element to it and I honestly felt this incarnation of Hydra was the most dangerous villain in all of the Marvel movies because of the themes it touched on.
Re: Winter Soldier
Liked it, but can't bring myself to love any film where so many bullets are shot from machine guns and hardly anyone gets a scratch. That really just takes me out if it, don't know why.
But some very nice scenes, my favorite still being the elevator scene from the preview.
And was that supposed to be the Inhumans in that teaser?

Which teaser?
orSpoilers wrote:The one where Baron Strucker talks about "the twins" while a male speedster and a girl doing magic are locked up behind glass?
Spoilers wrote:The one where Bucky does a song and dance number about moving to Attilan?
Re: Winter Soldier
Um......I'll go with the twins? Who are they?

Re: Winter Soldier
A pair of twins in the Marvel Universe, possibly being set up as characters in a forthcoming Avengers film, who've been given powers artificially so most definitely aren't mutants definitely not mutants, no way no how?
It's Northstar and Aurora. ALPHA FLIGHT, ASSEMBLE!

Re: Winter Soldier
The whole fiasco over Marvel not having the rights to say "mutant" or X-Men in their own movies is ridiculous. I'd hate to be the lawyer who signed off on granting Fox rights to the XMen-verse indefinitely.
Oh well. In any case the twins are Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch who are definitely NOT mutants and certainly not the children of Magneto.

Re: Winter Soldier
While it would be nice for example to have Wolverine in Avengers movie, isn't the Marvel Cinematic Universe more interesting because it doesn't have hundreds of super-powered mutants in it?
