Shumi Nagaremono, the Hobby Drifter

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

If there are any Japanese hobbies that you'd like Shumi Nagaremono to cover, please let me know.

And if there are any Japanese foods or drinks you'd like more info on, Nomuto Tabetai is more than happy to challenge.

Upcoming Shumi Nagaremono episodes: Sentai (TBA), More Transformers, Darts, Omake, Manga

Upcoming Nomuto Tabetai episodes: Denki Bran, Ramune, Umai Bo, Arinamin

Yoroshiku, onegaishimasu!

Quick question Smooth. How is the Pacific Rim reception going down in Japan? I'm hoping well given it's live action Evangelion / Gundam.

It got a lot of press before it was released, but I don't know how well it did. I wanted to go see it, but the showtimes aren't super convenient for me.

Is this your way of saying "a fangasm of a movie came out, but I actually like my job, so I'm not going to deal with the hassle of taking time off, but I'm so tired on weekends, and basically I'm not much of a fan these days, unless it's written by James Roberts?"

Because I know how that feels.

Or do one big poo in the morning and another one in the afternoon. I bet they weren't even excited by and then subsequently disappointed by Star Wars Prequels. Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.

Not quite. A 3-D movie ticket (I love 3-D!) costs like $20+ so making a date of it with the wife is like 55 or so. I can buy two 3-D blu-rays and have them shipped for about the same price.

You're right about work, though. Nobody has ever enjoyed their job more than I.

New format! Just released Goradora Set, the Abominus repaint from Transformers Go!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTxM3MHwuZ4

This new format is likely what I'm going to be using for the MTMTE review videos w/ Bumblemus.
