I think it's time to accept, as Kurt Vonnegut did in his last book before he died, that we've been invaded, and the invaders have taken over. This isn't the kind of civilisation I was brought up to believe in.

We have a similar problem in Sweden. Unemployment rates are rising every year - and at the same time we are telling sick people (people dying of cancer!) to get out there and get a job. It's horrible.
