If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Wait--is discussion of other threads considered General Discussions? Do we need a Meta Discussions page? A place for alt-IDs, Aaron's neverending fanfic, and where we can comment on how sane things are away from the madness in General Discussions?
