Kickstarter spam

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

I've been pimping this around the internets lately - we've started a kickstarter to finance our next cinematic venture here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/119205258/piece

Long story short, we've got a script based on an Iain Banks story (with his blessing) and we need to make it look good, so we need some money. We've already signed up two of my favourite character actors of all time, namely the incredible Sean Pertwee and the inestimable Brend so we have the talent, we just need the production values to match.

This movie won't be released anywhere except through the kickstarter where a mere $25 (which is about £15.60 in real money) will net you a DVD of the finished product. If you're a fan of Iain Banks then this will be the first movie of one of his stories to be made since 2000's Complicity, which is surely worth fifteen-and-a-half quid - if you donate $1000 (as one generous soul has already done) you can come to the launch party and meet him yourself.

If you're still not convinced, I found this video which encapsulates how truly great Sean Pertwee is. Ooh, I've gone all weak at the knees.
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

I will spread the word. $$ has been a touchy subject with the missus lately, what with the running out of it, but I know lots of Iain Banks fans who would be interested.

Or do one big poo in the morning and another one in the afternoon. I bet they weren't even excited by and then subsequently disappointed by Star Wars Prequels. Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.
