Seriously, you don't need to pay 150$ for the black Unicron variant. Seriously.
In a recent eBay auction, I appear to have scored, in addition to a bunch of other comics and toys, the original twelve issues of Marvel's Generation 2. Now I believe there are people here who still have not read this series. So speak up if you want it, no charge, no annoyance save the slowness of media mail. Preference will be given to frequent transfans posters who have made entertaining posts in the past.
This is THE way to experience the series, with the original Yaniger foldout cover and the always entertaining 90s ads and letters pages.

Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.

For the record I just want to say: phonetics is stuff and nonsense.Brendocon wrote:Ohhhh, it's a "language operates by mutual consensus, therefore so long as we all know what we mean we can say what we want article"?
Yeah, hate those. That sort of thinking will have us all typing phonetically and embracing txtspk.

Proscriptive, descriptive. The English language is a living thing, Britpeeps. You can no more stop its slow decay than you can stop me from pronouncing all the Rs, in all the words, everywhere.

I think "Buy less things" has become a lot easier with Hasbro throwing figure quality in the ****ter. Prime Airachnid is horrible, and the 3.75 scale Avengers figures are garbage.
With the long gaps between Marvel Legends and Universe waves, I probably just spend around $100 a month on collectibles. I remember spending around $300 three years ago.
But it's not like I've had a choice. When your single parent gets an $8000-a-year paycut because some franchise bought your job, it's hard to just pay the bills. And when you wear your car out doing said job(Pizza Hut delivery), they still expect you to replace your dying transmission.
Oh, and get this: If you claim tips, they take them out of your paycheck. And that "delivery charge" on your ticket? They get it.
I swear, it's the closest thing to modern slave labor in the first world.

My collecting has taken a weird twist the past few years. I see something I like and go "Wow! I must have that!", pay hundreds of dollars for it, it arrives at my doorstep and I take it in....and never open it.
What the hell? I thought Masterpiece Grimlock was so great, and yet he remains in the box, unopened.
Either I've become a real collector who wants to keep things in mint condition or I'm a wasteful jackass who could be using that money to feed poor people.
I'm hoping it's the former.

"But the Costa story featuring Starscream? Fantastic! This guy is "The One", I just know it, just from these few pages. "--Yaya, who is never wrong.
