Doctor Who: Teh Movie. Cast news.

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Heh.

Jokes aside, I don't want it.

They managed to make an in continuity X Files movie while that show was still running. Surely it can be done?

I don't recall the milestone that is being Scottish stopping him playing the role as a cheeky cockney rouge last time round.

Didn't we already try this back in 1996, with the result being a pretty naff product by just about any measurement?

I secretly still quite like it, mind, but it was still crap :p

The quality of the Christmas Special actually has me hoping that the Movie is just two hours of the film Doctor (as played by Johny Depp) pissing over the Blu Ray's of the last few episodes.

They could declare this one the 13th doctor and make it the unofficial finale, like the Spongebob movie.

I thought it was middling, rather than terrible.

Christmas specials are a funny old beast. Like a fat chick, it seems to rely heavily on the target being trapped and inebriated.

I thought we had talked about you trapping fat girls and keeping them drunk so they don't escape?

The problem with Who Christmas specials is that those people who say "Oh, it's just a stupid kids' programme, nothing makes any sense, the plots are frankly ridiculous, the special effects are lame - it's just a waste of time" are invariably the people who watch it once a year at Christmas and are always proved right.
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

I think The Christmas Invasion and A Christmas Carol were pretty good myself.

I'd like to see Moffat try something completely different next year (if anyone can, he can), but seriously, [composite word including 'f*ck'] 'em.
