Happy eleventy-first birthday, me. Or something.

Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.

Thanks all.
It actually started kind of crappy. My grandpa died last week, and we were really close. He was also an English teacher for a good 40 years. In fact, he gave me his unfinished novel and asked me to finish it and "whoever's writing is least embarrassing, put his name on the cover." Yesterday was the funeral, which he specifically told me not to go to and spend money on. But it was sad to miss it. I mean, everyone wants a dead old man for their birthday.
Then we spent two hours looking for the Reveal The Shield Universe Classics set of Rodimus and Cyclonus we picked up on eBay a few months ago and saved. Nowhere to be found. It's not in this damn house. I suspect one of the movers stole it. I really do.
After that, though, Chrissy made gluten-free cream puffs and gf biscotti and some friends came for sugar. Then I had a band practice and we played in an acoustic incarnation at an open mic. So by the end of the night it was somewhat redeemed.
But yeah, ******* Rodimus and Cyclonus...

Well that sucks. But you're alive, happy, have a family, are more well employed than in previous years, and have income to blow on action figures. How's that for half full? Happy Belated Birthday!
