Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.
Not really impressed with this actor. I mean, let's face it, how do you beat Arnold as Conan? It's inconceivable.
Also found the heavy metal music for the trailer a poor fit.
This movie is going to bomb. Big time.

"But the Costa story featuring Starscream? Fantastic! This guy is "The One", I just know it, just from these few pages. "--Yaya, who is never wrong.

Agree with you on the heavy metal, but I actually like the actor quite a bit. He's got the borderline psychopath face.

Haven't watched the trailer yet coz I'm at work, sat in view of a camera that is filming people getting interviewed on the BBC news channel - switch on now - I'm waving, see?
As remakes go I've no problem with this. The original Conan movies weren't classics by any means. In fact, Conan The Destroyer was dreadful, and not in a good way.
Did Arnie do a cameo or was he too busy playing with Nanny?

Eh. I like monsters... I'm not entirely sold on that guy as Conan simply from the trailer. He needs to be filthier! He's just Hollywood filthy. He also needs to be bigger and uglier. IMO.
Are people in the comments seriously whining over pronunciation? Bah. I may be getting too easygoing and laid-back in my old age, but I couldn't give two shits on how they pronounce things as long as I'm entertained by the film.
/haz proper internets, hi

No no no. That won't do at all - how are we going to sell gossip magazines and 24 hour news with this kind of sensible perspective? You must be OUTRAGED at least 80% of the time - it's the future.saysadie wrote:. When I was watching Game of Thrones, I saw the guy who played Khal Drogo and thought, "man, why didn't they get this dude to play Conan, not that Jason Momoa guy from Stargate: Atlantis."
I kind of still think that, even after watching the end credits of Game of Thrones. Maybe it has something to do with the filthiness.

What this movie needs is... something between what they've got now and The Great Khali.

That is actually the exact reason why I saw Life is Beautiful.
