There's a longer trailer, but this alone has me salivating:

Looks like a ******* brilliant move.

Or do one big poo in the morning and another one in the afternoon. I bet they weren't even excited by and then subsequently disappointed by Star Wars Prequels. Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.

Actually rewatched the first 3 over Easter. Third one was better than I remember. When it's good it's really good (going for fun fanboy bits and action set pieces - Ratner knows his strengths) but when it stumbles it stumbles hard. Patchy but decent.
Wolverine was dog**** though. Going for fanboy bits and action set pieces in lieu of plot is good and well, but they need to not be ****.

X3 wasn't horrible. I was pretty disappointed in general though. I think part of it was that X2 was so good. I felt like they really took a step back with X3 and a lot of the stuff was pretty cheesy and the camp was a bit overdone.Best First wrote:i really enjoyed X3.
Sure it wasn't the same tone as singer, but it was a good romp in my book.
I felt like the first two x-men movies did a good job of combining gritty realism with the fantastic. This was an element that was really missing from the third film....and the dialogue and character development just wasn't as good

Generally in agreement, as much as it pains me to write off Gambit's only film appearance so far.
Only area of disagreement is whether this new one will be any good. On the Empire cover, the cast look like a bad cosplay group. Will be very surprised if it gets good reviews.

It's Matthew Vaughn, who has a great sense of pacing and visuals--see Stardust. And Xavier and Magneto's backstory has a lot of dramatic meat that McEvoy and Fassbinder seem to be digging into. I'm rather excited, actually.
I wonder if McKellen will be fit for X-Men 4?

Wonderfully good. And you-know-who's cameo was brilliant.
Felt a bit empty at the end, as if the dramatic weight dropped out from... eh, hard to say. I'll wait for spoilers.

NOTHING! I stayed the whole time and took the bus home because my ride had to leave early, just so I could see the Easter egg, and there was nothing.

Yep - especially amused me as i asked his cousin, who i am working with at present (seriously - very senior person at a big software co) if he minded that they had made an x-movie without him just the other day.bumblemusprime wrote:Wonderfully good. And you-know-who's cameo was brilliant.
Reminded me a lot of the first x-film to be honest - good but a bit weighed down by set up in places.
Plus since Team America i just can't take training montages seriously.
But fun. And, you know, Frost.

Yes--I have observed that you can definitely tell Matthew Vaughn is straight and Bryan Singer is gay.

It's hardly surprising that a Matthew Vaughn movie is better than a Bryan Singer movie.
Anyone else caught the other one?bumblemusprime wrote:And you-know-who's cameo was brilliant.
Haha. For future reference, although I don't know if it would be of any help on the first day. I just skimmed an advance review to make sure there's nothing after.bumblemusprime wrote:NOTHING!
