Stunt man killed during Daredevil Event

Cathy, my eldest sister and I were watching among the spectators :S

He was shot out of a canon and the landing net collapsed to the ground before he landed, so he just hit the floor. They called the air ambulance but apparently he didn't make it.

I heard about this on the radio.

Before the bloke died. It sounded like something out of brass eye, but I resisted being a heartless **** and making a funny comment on facebook.

Shame.

Absolutely: it sounds like something from a sketch show. For about 2 minutes after everyone was looking round asking "is he ok? Is this part of the act?"

Then they called the St John's ambulance guys over, then the regular ambulance, then a helicopter ambulance.

One chump was still asking if it was part of the act at that point, everyone else was just silent.

Hes being do that stunt for somthing like 10 years right? - how did he miss?

The net collapsed to the ground while he was in mid air, so when he landed he just hit the ground.
