I present rock n' roll to you

Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.

No love? LOVE ME. Or just tell me what needs improving; I'm still mixing.

"Ashes and bone" was a sweet hungover-song :)
Can't believe I'm still here.

I thought I did, with YouSendIt, Spidey.

Ob: Thanks!

[edit]

Songs are now available for download in honor of our first show. These are my final mixes. Until I decide to do more.

For some reason I've been bouncing off your bbc.co.uk account.

Sooo it's a bit pub rock for my tastes Spence, soz, especially the guitar playing. Good idea getting the girl in on the lead vocals though. Ashes & Bone is your best tune there, the others feel a bit, um, improvised.

Who's writing the songs? What are your influences?

Me and the guitarist Nathan write em. It might just be that I got the recording quality better on Ashes & Bone. I probably will pay for the mastering as I haven't been able to really get a consistent sound out of each track. Not sure why.

Pub rock? What is this "pub" you speak of?

Influences? Mostly lately I've listened to a lot of They Might Be Giants' kids music... our drummer likes Prince, me and the singer like Radiohead and Elliot Smith and Fiona Apple and the guitarist is a big fan of Smashing Pumpkins. Although I think we tend to try more for the Stones or Zeppelin at times.

First show went quite well, btw. Good turnout, good tip jar. Wish you were here.

Could be. Could tell you were having fun on the other track where you alternated vocals. :)

What's your twitter address? I wanna keep an eye on you.

spencimus

I've got a few more tracks coming, including a Beatles cover we're going to give away free, and these should get mastered soon--I'm gonna bite it and pay a dude to make them sound better.

First I have to convince my singer to do yet more vocal takes because I screwed up a whole lot of them.

Dragged this up in order to say that we have a full album on Bandcamp:

http://pawnbrokerband.bandcamp.com/albu ... powerlines

At this point, after months of mixing, I can hear everything that's wrong with it. But you guys might like it if you don't listen too closely. :headbang:
