Finally had enough of the nephew from hell

Sent to his deadbeat mothers facebook account, since she never bothers to call and check on her son.

I am sick of JT destroying everything in his path. He steals food when he doesnt need to, he breaks everything he can get his hands on, and he dumps anything and everything all over the place. If we LITERALLY stop watching him for 30 seconds he steals something he KNOWS he shouldnt get in to and wastes it all over the place. We have had him for going on 8 months now. Why the hell have you not gotten your life in order yet? I am about to turn him over to the state of Louisiana. I can not deal with this anymore. Your refusal to take care of your own child has ruined my marriage because Jessy is afraid to tell you how bad JT acts. He acts worse than Mykal ever did. I dont care if you dont want to hear it. It is the truth. He has two parents who are so damn self centered that it has caused him to rebel to everyone. I am not going to put up with it anymore. I am tired of having to padlock all of my cabinets and take my toothpaste with me to work because I KNOW if I dont he is going to get into it and waste it all over the floor or wall.

Get your **** together NOW or deal with the state of Louisiana to get him back. You have had plenty of time to get a JOB and get your life together. Hopping from couch to couch and picking trash to sell is ********. You are turning into your mom. You need to get help.

You have 2 weeks to get your **** together. Do not test me on this.
And so help me GOD if you try to sob story people and tell them how "terrible we were to you" to get them to feel sorry for you, I will see to it that everyone knows exactly what has gone on for the past 8 months and then you really will be on your own.

JT has two parents who should be taking care of him but wont. I have given him everything I have, I have treated him as if he is my own child. But he is NOT my child and this was supposed to be a 3 hour long baby sitting session that has turned into 3/4 of a year.

I know you check your facebook often so dont pretend like you never got this message. If I dont hear from you I will assume you think I am like Jessy and will just get angry and then get over it.
You would be wrong. If I have not heard from you by Monday I will be calling the State of Louisiana to make arrangements to take him to Lake Charles because that is the closest major city to me. Which means he could be anywhere in the state after that.

Can ya tell im pissed?

Can't blame you. If you don't have the resources to give your time to this kid, then it's only hurting you and your kids to do so. Honestly, his life is screwed up because of his mother, and his time with you will have an impact, but it'll be on top of the **** he already put her through.

Wow... Not sure what to say here, Rib. Sorry to hear you've got these problems with your family.

You've mentioned that your own son has very severe ADHD, in the past.

I'm assuming he's better these days? That your untiring disciplining, rules and work to set limits have helped him, but most important of all, I'm thinking he has finally been given the medication that the Dr's denied him for years?

So, I suppose what I'm trying to get at here, is that it seems like your family has a history of these types of problems, a predisposition. Do you think JT could get better if he actually got some STRONGER, and I do mean stronger, medicine than Mykal? This seems like exactly what happened to your own son, denied crucial medicine because of his age, but JT never got the same intense upbringing as Mykal to help him to see the limits in life.

There's a small hope that medication could help JT, but truth be told, I don't think the chance of even HEAVY medication helping the kid at this stage, is slim to none. And without a dedicated father or mother, no medication, he will no doubt probably end up a junkie or career-criminal.

Sad, but probably true.

Sorry mate, I've got nothing constructive to say, other than I feel for you, and am sad to see you having been put in the middle of all this.

Yeah. Its time for him to go. I know he is family, but I really just cant do it anymore.

How does it actually work when the state takes custody of a child, in the U.S? Do you guys still have stuff like Orphanages? ( we somehow did away with the big institutions for kids in the 70's here)

Can you just drive up to one, and send 'em off there? ( There'd be some paperwork too of course, but perhaps it's done on-site to expedite the process)

Or does the child's parents or legal guardians have to sign papers and stuff before it can be done...
