If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Merry Christmas from my mother-in-law's house in Denver, where there is not a damn iota of snow on the ground.
I hope everybody gets a lot of toys! I spied a Masterpiece Grimlock in the closet a while ago...

Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.

Heyo! I've spent the day with a mate and his family, and I ate it all: eal, Jansson's temptation, five flavours of herring, ham, sausages, meatballs, cabbage, ice cream, bread, etc.
Expecting a massive brown dragon tomorrow.
Can't believe I'm still here.

So... what other celebrations are there going on at this time of year, other than Hanukka? I think theres some kind of African celebration called Kwanza (sp?), right?

Tell me about it. We do have a metric ton of rain to show for it instead.

All except the Aspects of Evil wrapper, Peace, and that time-travel summary from one of the later annuals. I think.
But they're all 'distant futures' and we're not likely to overtaken them in our lifetimes anyway.

Merry Happy Everything from my parent's place; there are entirely too many people in my family and virtually nowhere to hide, as bedrooms have been converted into storage/studies and such as people moved out.
Christmas is good; my mother was seriously ill last time I saw her, she is getting much improved.

this place drives me a bit stir-crazy (shh, don't tell my mother!) And I have pets to feed; heading back to the city tomorrow.

My haul:
From my (awesome)dad:
Marvel Universe Galactus
Marvel Universe A.I.M. Soldier(This figure is great! Why is he shelfwarming here?)
Marvel Universe Iron Man 2020
Marvel Legends Iron Man & Maria Hill 2-pack
Marvel Legends (Gold) First Appearance Iron Man(with two right hands, working on a replacement)
All six new Hero Factory 2.0 canister sets
ROTF Deep Desert Brawl
ROTF Lockdown
A bone-white G1 Jetfire
From my mom:
$50
$25 Chili's gift card
tin of popcorn
a cheap-ass grip set for my wii-mote(damn thing is thin and has mold-flash in all the holes)
a non-winner scratch-off
From grandparents:
Adidas Cologne set(like I can use it...)
a defective pocket-tool set
My dad continues to win Christmas for me, my mom puts in just a little effort, and everyone else failed. But of course I'm just bitching for no reason.

I bought two containers of eggnog at the supermarket, because they were on sale... completely forgetting that I'm alone for the next week and am the only person in the apartment who likes eggnog. Dammit.
I got the full-fat stuff, too. I plan to drink it while pedalling away on my exercise bike!

In the world of weapons, there are guns, bombs, grenades, and missiles.
And then, there's eggnog.
"But the Costa story featuring Starscream? Fantastic! This guy is "The One", I just know it, just from these few pages. "--Yaya, who is never wrong.

The ex will probably help me get rid of it; he loves the crap. Which is why it became habit to buy so much of it in the first place.
