It's gonna break the Internet.

Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.

******* amazing. One of the few times it looks better than it did in my imagination.

I've had dreams much like what happened to Theon in this week's episode.
Also, apparently GRRM can write a middling episode of the show. I thought he was saving himself for a non-water-treading ep. Still have ten minutes left, though.

Really not keen on the Theon stuff in this season.
Certain things [his todger, for instance] were much better left as implied.
Especially as there's been no explanation as to how Ramsay came to acquire him in the first place. Last we saw he'd been conked on the head by the Cleftjaw.
Also looks like Mrs Robb is going to head to The Twins.
Le sigh.

There were some hints in the book that Mrs. Robb was preggo, but that seems to have been dropped, as I suppose someone would know by now.
Rather than spending so much time on Theon's torments, (although the Bastard has some great facial expressions) we ought to get the jump on the five billion pages of talking among the ironborn in books 4 & 5.

Yeah i think that's the general idea - altho you have to remember he didpush a kid out of a window.Impactor returns 2.0 wrote:I'm loving Jamie more and more each episode
Even if it turns out to be a kid who will have WAY TOO MANY ****ING WOLF DREAMS.
Poor old Gendry eh? Screwed over by brevity.
And poor Ros!
They could have entitled this episode "Screwing over the minor characters you quite like".
Oh, and great arse, obvioulsy.

Though I must say that the disposal of Mrs Robb was unnecessarily gruesome and vicious. Especially considering that it was an element created just for the show.

Glad someone agrees. I think it was born out of a desire to shock the fans who read the books.Brendocon wrote:https://twitter.com/RedWeddingTears

So do you think next week we'll get yet another wedding? It may be the only way to keep from losing viewers.
Also, in consolation for the week: Pete Campbell smoked his first joint. It may loosen the stick in his entitled ass by .011

Indeed. When part of the show's appeal among non-readers is that it surprises and shocks, it's to be expected that they'll make a token effort to have that effect on jaded book larnin' type folks.bumblemusprime wrote: Glad someone agrees. There's wanting to shock the fans who read the books, then there's manufacturing a situation where you stab a pregnant lady to death in the baby.bumblemusprime wrote:Glad someone agrees. If that's where their mind goes when asking "what will they not expect" then I'm a little uncomfortable. Not shocked, just uncomfortable. We knew that mother and baby weren't going to make it out alive (didn't we? I mean having them survive just creates an obstacle to be removed at a later juncture), they just didn't need to do it quite like that.
Hitting the other half of the combo would definitely claw the show back some of the goodwill it seems to have lost among certain people (I mean fancy thinking Robb's a central character... he doesn't even get a perspective chapter!), but watching the trailers for the next ep they don't seem to be playing up the continued nuptials angle. So do you think next week we'll get yet another wedding? It may be the only way to keep from losing viewers.
The Ironborn look to be back next week, so introducing the Dornish as well might make it a bit cluttered. Still, hope they close with it. I would. Not sure what else they could do for a big finale.
Grrr. Argh.
Re: Re:
I cant see the other wedding being next week when there has been a complete lack of Dorne and, most importantly, Red Viper.
They will save that one for next season, which is the 2nd half of the 3rd book.

Re: Re:
Yeah, unless the trailer is a red herring to mess with fans. That would mess up some of the logistics of the scene when Tyrion meets the Red Viper, but I can see how they could throw Joffrey's wedding into the next episode without having too much story trouble.Brendocon wrote:What you said. Oh aye, wedding as first episode of season 4 would be sensible and magnificent.
Can't even remember what else happens between weddings, tbh.

Bah. An extra feely-goody episode to end this season, and not much else. Too much water-treading here in order to save some material for Season 4.

Is being shot repeatedly with arrows extra feel goody?

Compared to seeing your son, daughter-in-law and unborn grandchild all brutally murdered before having your own throat cut? Yes. Yes it is.

I'm still amazed at how well they distill the books down to air on TV. This season should be spectacular indeed.Brendocon wrote:No Tyrion, I don't think you are talking your way out of this one.

Oberyn was every ******* thing I hoped for. Of course we start out with he and Ellaria selecting their orgy...
