So my publisher (as in, the small press who published my poetry pamphlet, not a publishing conglomerate that I own/chair/manage etc) just won the prize for best pamphlet publisher at the Michael Marks Awards. Woo! It's especially great news as it's run almost entirely by one person, who shoulders most of the costs and doesn't make much money at all out of it.
Hooray for Happenstance.

Congrats! That'll show the IDW board!

Or do one big poo in the morning and another one in the afternoon. I bet they weren't even excited by and then subsequently disappointed by Star Wars Prequels. Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.

Thanks everyone!

In the UK poetry scene, even if you've been moving in the same circles as someone for years, they often don't know of you until you meet them. And then, even when you've met everyone, the number of poets who make an impression on the wider world is tiny and not very representative. Bunch of old University professors - all good, but there's so much more variety.
