Yeah, unlike with Avatar, I'm going to see this for the story too.
But I'll say this. That preview is done
right. Got a few tingles actually. Like the second I saw Allen (Tron) setting the premise for the movie by talking with Flynn's son. It tingled yet again after seeing the Tron video game (classic pic of Sark on the side and everything). The music is the best in a preview since the first Terminator movie.
What I'm most excited about is how the 3-D is going to play out. The human brain is much better able to process things in three dimensions when sensory overload isn't a factor. For example, as good as
Avatar was, it's difficult for the brain to process every leaf of every tree in the third dimension, so it ignores most of them and just focuses on a few. With Tron though, things are linear, symmetrical, and mostly of uniform colors (birght blue, red, etc). How many times have we looked at a checkerboard or grid on the floor, and the brain actually interprets it as being 3-D when it isn't? 3-D was
made for this movie, I'm telling you.
It's going to blow our minds. Hopefully, the story will too.
"But the Costa story featuring Starscream? Fantastic! This guy is "The One", I just know it, just from these few pages. "--Yaya, who is never wrong.
