I've been trying to get the $99 iPhone deal from ATT since like July. I went in then, they told me to come back in November, and I would qualify. I went back then, they told me to come back in December. Then I've been poor.

But now my old phone has finally given out, and I'm going to get one tonight.

When I first decided I needed to get one, it was because my iPod got soaked during an unforseen jet ski incident, so I figured if I had to rebuy an iPod, why not upgrade my phone as well? But now at this point, knee deep in grad school, I'm looking forward to the Blackberryish calender/schedule aspect.

While I don't mind the iPhone (or the ilk) I'm yet to be important enough to feel the need for one; however, the moment I find myself needing to check my emails (legitimately) in mid strut from the home to the place of work, I will reconsider this statement.

But really, think of how many Cornetto's its worth and I can never warrant indulging in a Cornetto.

I tried typing a text on my girlfriends phone, and I gotta say that using the keyboard is a pain in the ass. It takes forever to type a text.
However, the Appstore has a T9 App. Has anyone tried it?

I found the keyboard hard at first, but once I had it for a few days its really very easy, the feature of being able to slide your finger aorund, then release it to change the letter you select is clever.

Id prefer a swype interface tho.
