The detail is interesting (comment about the amount of detail is right on, imo), but it's kinda... well, boring to just wander without anything actually happening. Before I scrolled down and read the blurb, I kept wondering what the point was

I remember one a little like this from many years ago. Same principle - play along a mostly linear path until you achieve your goal, but the graphics were more Simon the Sorceror/Netquilt (not that the pixel-simple look doesn't have its own advantages). Can't remember anything about it besides the fact that it was hosted at some shampoo site for a while.
