Are there any Arsenal fans out there?

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

I'm just getting into the Barclay's premier league and very much enjoy watching the games at the local sports bar. My brother got me into it and he's a HUGE Arsenal fan. My first instinct was to follow him and become an Arsenal fan too, but watching them play is rather frustrating. I did want them to beat Manchester City the other week, but if you're reading this you probably saw that they clearly did not. Adebayor seems to me like a grade A ****.

thanks :) I'm actually having some username remorse, I wish I'd have gone with sideburn actually, but the movie is what I have been watching since I can remember and I know all the lines. Anyone know the response to the following? "Jazz to moon base 2! Jazz to moon base 2!"

Correct! My brother and I combined can do the whole movie with sound effects and music. To a friggin T. God what I wouldn't do to have that soundtrack on vinyl. One of the best soundtracks, nay, ALBUMS of all time if you ask me. Not to mention I finally figured out why growing up we also liked to watch Rocky IV, and it's because of Vince DiCola's music. Rocky IV actually got him the job on Transformers.

Well, at least it didn't turn out to be "Roger me. Wilco me. Anyone? Hello? Earth?" ;)

"I'm pickin up a faint signal..."

"This is Jazz. A ginormous weird-lookin planet just showed up in the suburbs of cybertron."

"And it's attacking moon base one!"

"Jazz, Cliffjumper!"

hahaha, I could go on and on and on! I didn't know until recently that Scatman and Casey Casem (sp?) did their voices. hahaha. Funny how my first introduction to name like Judd Nelson, Robert Stack, and Orson Welles was through TFTM.

I memorised the movie in 1997.

Hah! I have you beat by over a decade!

Hello, I'm a lady. On the internet. We exist... or do we?

No... not really. Sorry to get you excited there, but we all know those don't exist. I'm actually a fat, balding 50 year old trucker named Joe, originally from a small town called Hot Sauce in Missouri. what can I do ya for?

Pfft! I memorised it way back in '86 - while I was watching it in the cinema.

...

But in the decades since, it has dimmed somewhat.

All true statements. Pictures have been passed around, none of them are pretty.
