Swine flu

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Swine flu

Post by Metal Vendetta » Wed Jul 29, 2009 1:43 pm

Anyone else caught it yet?

Was laid out for the weekend by the worst fever I've ever had (hallucinating Armageddon, sweating my own body-mass twice over) and now I'm working from home to avoid infecting anyone else. I was working from my girl's place as my housemate quarantined me there but apparently he got it on Monday so I'm allowed back in.

Great fun for all the family, I can't recommend it highly enough.
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

Suckage.

I know a few people who each claim a friend of theirs has it, but nothing nearer to home.

It seems to be very contagious:

Still not entirely convinced it was the deadly killer swine flu, though it was one of the worst fevers I've ever had...and if what I had wasn't swine flu and it's actually much worse, well I could see how it might be too much for the overly young or old, or someone with "underlying heath complications". I was just glad I was within 20 minutes of a warm bed, orange juice, water and chicken soup when I started feeling ill, because I didn't want to leave the house for the next three days.
