Pixar's UP

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

It's getting rave reviews.

Bro saw it last night, said it was the best movie of the year, better than Star Trek even. Said only Toy Story was better.

Can't wait, going to see it tomorrow.

Saw it tonight.

I have to say, it was the most I've enjoyed a Pixar film since Toy Story 2, and I think one of my favorite movies of all time.

The story really hits home. I think it was the first time I've shed a tear in a movie theater. For anyone who has lost a loved one, and has had trouble moving on, well, it's quite a moving tale with a powerful lesson.

And the 3-D animation? It was phenomenal. The 3-D really gelled. It was smooth and in no way did I find it jarring, like some 3-D movies. The tech has come a long way, which gives me high hopes for James Cameron's Avatar later in the year.

Like all of Pixar's flicks, it not just for the kiddies, this one being even less so. Humorous and witty on a level we've come to expect from Pixar, but with a very adult theme at it's core, this is as good as it gets.

An "A+" flick that I think I'll see again and again. Highly recommend it.

I have to agree with everything you've said. A fantastic film but definitely sad though.

The 3d was great too. My only complaint the glasses you wore were a bit dark so they took some vibrancy from the colour.

Go see this in the theatres though. Worth the price of admission and more.

What, UP is already out?

They are only playing in in October in Hungary... :(

Well here's hoping for a good cam until then. I will definetly watch it in the cinema in October, but I will not wait...

This is one film that is probably worth watching in the cinema. The 3d was actually pretty cool.
