Fun game I started at work

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Fun game I started at work

Post by Optimus Prime Rib » Sat May 09, 2009 5:10 am

I had a brain storm at work last week and since then we have been playing a fun game where we take an actor, grab a character they play in one movie, and supplant them into another role played by that actor.

Bonus points if you can act out a line and make it believeable.

Even more points if you can create a whole new movie title

(btw samuel l jackson and tom hanks are pretty much thier own spinoff game)

I can tell you that we spent a good week on this and have had some quality results. I wont ruin the fun for everyone but I will list a few of of the best ones we came up with:

Saving Private Gump (speaks for itself)

Samuel L Jackson in Pulp Fiction as Mace Windu in Episode 2: "Which one is your lightsabre?" "THE ONE THAT SAYS 'BAD ************* ON IT'"

Samuel L Jackson from Snakes on a Plane as M W in Ep 3: "I have had it up to here with these ************** Sith in this ************** Senate"

subtle difference but important!

Leonardo DiCaprio from Whats Eating Gilbert Grape in.. Titanic: "IM THE KING OF THE WOOOOORLD!! ROSE.. ROSE! LEMME SEE YOUR BOOBIES!"

Heath Ledger as The Joker in Brokeback Mountain: /buttsecks "Why... so... serious?" (ewwwwww)

and on that note

Jake Gyllenhal from Jarhead in Brokeback Mountain WITH the Joker (that was the day 1 winning combo and started a spinoff game of connecting actors to movies in a 6 degrees of kevin bacon style game)

Jamie Fox from The Soloist in "Ray"

Cuba Gooding Jr from Radio in Jerry McGuire "SHOOOOOW MEE THA MONEY!!!"

Mathew Mconnahey (sp) from Dazed and Confused in "A time to kill" : "Oh come on judge.. youre just mad that I beat you out for first string at state." "The older I get.. these victims stay the same age"

We have been very slow at work. This went on for hours and hours.
