An Angel Wolfram & Hart question

I know there are many Angel/Buffy fans here (Im one too).

Something that´s been buggering me a long time is that I dont understand a thing about Wolfram & Hart in Angel´s last season. The Beast killed all W&H LA staff (minus Lilah) but when Angel takes control of the firm they managed to refill all their ranks.

That I can understand, what I dont is that in many occasions when dealing with employees they talk like they´ve been in the firm a long time and not like one month (employees recalling last year´s Halloween party, Número 5 working for the firm a lot of years, The special squad talking about "how things are done here", Knox behaving like he´s been in the lab forever and many more).

Any ideas beside they all have false memories?

I assumed they'd just been transferred in from other branches.

Hmm. How about:

"They refilled their ranks from other branches, but when they 'changed the world' to give Connor a different life, it somehow negated the prior destruction of the LA branch, returning all staff to their previous positions."

...and then Rimmer ate Hitler's sandwich and got blown up in a cargo hold.

I preferred it a lot more than season 4 and all the Cordy-Jasmine evil for the greater good schemes.
