It's bad when you get more journalism from the comedy guy than the news guys.
Jon Stewart FTW

Imagine Jim Cremer, from CNBC's "Mad Money", as the personifiction of the crazy turbo charged futures/speculative marketeers on Wall Street that built our economic system on a house of cards that they knew would inevitably fall.
Imagine Jon Stewart as the personification of the common man whose parents' retirement fund got wiped out by things such as Bear Stearns.
Mix and serve warm.
You should still be able to see it at www.thedailyshow.com
Seriously. Obviously Cremer did not cause the crash by himself (and both he and Stewart say as much during the interview), but Stewart NAILS HIM with the ol' "Here's a bunch of clips from a small potatoes interview where you said things that you never thought would see the light of day, let alone be broadcast on national television".
It's the most informative, serious, and non funny Stewart has given in a long time, and that's saying something.

The dailyshow.com version is unedited. I was really surprised to hear Jon drop those F-bombs. I've never heard such appropriate profanity in my life.
The world needs a completely straight Daily Show program. The "showing clips that prove the person you're talking to is lying" is brilliant and, should the punchline be removed, would be terribly effective.
For example, in that interview, Cramer says something along the lines of "I don't do this and I've never old anyone to do this."
Clip Rolls
"I do this and think that you should do this to."
If there was no punchline, just a pause for a response, it'd be taken seriously.
I know that The Daily Show is comedy. That's why I watch it. Few things are more frustrating than hearing some talking head or reading some comment later that says, "Oh, it's just the Daily Show. It's not real news." That's true, but they often make points that need to be acknowledged.

If they were a straight show, then people like Jim Cramer would never go on it to begin with. The fact that it's a comedy show means they can get away with a lot more.Professor Smooth wrote:The dailyshow.com version is unedited. I was really surprised to hear Jon drop those F-bombs. That was ****** brilliant, a brilliant call out.
Shanti, thank you. That made my day.
It really enrages me.
Kudos to Stewart for calling Cramer out. He was ****** defenseless.
This is the kind of ******** that happens behind the scenes. This is what goes on when the bigwigs shout "Look, a war!" and then commence with [composite word including 'f*ck'] the common person while he's shouting "Where?! where?!" .
As a physician who is regulated up the ass from the left and right, up and down, to see these wall street ****s cut and run, and let everyone suffer, because they weren't regulated just enrages me.

"But the Costa story featuring Starscream? Fantastic! This guy is "The One", I just know it, just from these few pages. "--Yaya, who is never wrong.
